What we store
- Your Telegram account identifier (user ID) and the interface / studied language you chose. Used to deliver your cards and show the interface in your language.
- Your notes and the flashcards created from them — the words, phrases and rules you send the bot (or add via the browser extension), and the translations, explanations and examples generated for them. Stored in your Notilingo account so your deck persists and cards can be scheduled for review.
- Your review activity — when you review a card and whether you remembered it, so the spaced-repetition schedule and your progress statistics work.
- Your settings — delivery times, time zone, cards per day, and (if you use the extension) a personal API key issued by
/link.
How your notes are processed
- AI processing. The text you send is processed by a third-party large language model (Mistral AI) to generate flashcards, translations, explanations, examples, and part-of-speech classification. Only the text of the note (and the language pair) is sent for this purpose. It is not used by us to build an advertising profile.
- Processing happens when you send a note and, for some enrichment (e.g. part-of-speech classification for the “My dictionary” view), in periodic background passes over cards you already created.
Support messages
If you use the “Support” / /support feature, the message you send is relayed to the bot operator so they can reply to you through the bot. Only the message you explicitly send this way is relayed — nothing else from your account.
Donations
Donations are optional. If you donate, payment is processed by the provider you choose — Telegram Stars, ЮKassa (card, via Telegram Payments), or CryptoBot (USDT). We store a record of the donation (amount, method, status) to confirm and reconcile it. We do not receive or store your full card number or wallet credentials — those are handled by the payment provider under its own terms.
Analytics
We record aggregate product events tied to your account (e.g. that a note was processed, a card reviewed, the dictionary opened, a support message sent) to understand usage and improve the bot. These are first-party events; we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Data sharing and retention
- Your notes and cards are not sold and not shared with third parties, except the AI processor (Mistral AI) and, if you donate, the payment provider — each strictly to perform the function you requested.
- Your data is retained while your account is active so your deck and schedule keep working.
- To stop the extension’s access, run
/unlink (revokes your API key immediately). To request deletion of your account data, contact us (below).
